Good back country

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts of a good backcountry skiing mountain there is in the northeast. I want to go someplace for a week in January. What is the best backcountry mountain in the northeast with some sick drops and nice tree lines?

Smuggs has some good bc stuff. And stowe. But if you want the best answer i would go into the new england fourm.

theres no business like snow business.

smuggs, stowe, some fun stuff at mad river and jay peak as well

You can hike one of the high peaks near Lake placid and there is some sick slides on them but they dont always get covered, mad river or jay are the best two resorts i have gone to for back country
