Well i'm getting a tatoo soon and i'm not sure what exactly to get. I was thinking about a smiley face on my chest, the greatful dead skull, or a mastadon, but past that i got nothin. Suggestions welcome or examples..... please nothing dumb

who wants to put something on their skin that they're gonna get tired of? plus in 10 years its gonna look like a smudged piece of shit
 
dont get anything that you will regret in a few years.
i have my last name initial on my right shoulder, the words carpe diem in calligraphy down my left side, and im getting a memorandum for my grandparents in a few weeks.
 
all of those ideas are shit. and the dude with the soviet tattoo ^ up there: are you actually a commie? or do you just think its cool to walk around with a tattoo that supports the soviet union? (it's really not that cool at all)

dont get a tattoo unless it means something to you. sounds like you just want to get one for the sake of getting one. do you really want to be explaining a smiley face on your chest to your grandkids?

Don't rush your decision - you're gonna have it forever. If you actually want one, at least take the time to come up with something original. You shouldn't need to ask a forum for ideas.
 
its kind of a meaningful thing to me. Lotta back story behind it but like i said just a thought. i'm not huge into pot tatoo's either
 
ill say it once and ill say it again. a tattoo isnt about getting a tattoo. its about getting something meaningful to you that you want to be with you FOREVER. if your coming onto a random internet forum you WILL regret it. honestly, dont get a tattoo just to be the shit and have a tattoo, get a tattoo that means something meaningful to you. i.e. im getting "86" on my shoulder (my late fathers' football number back in the day) and then a panoramic view on my back that ive been adding stuff to for 5 years now. ive had years to think about these. id suggest waiting awhile.

draw the thing you want a tattoo of, and hang it near your bed, or carry it in your wallet. in 2 years, if you still like that image then get the tattoo
 
why don't you just go have unprotected sex and get some random bitch pregnant and get a baby, only difference is that you'll regret it sooner
 
i was just looking for some decent ideas. my fucking bad. I know its a good idea to think about what to get and its gonna be a few months so i'd figure i'd just start a thread while i was thinking about it

another thing is if you are gonna get a tattoo. do research on a artist you like and want to get work done by. dont just go to your local tattoo shop and let just anyone tattoo you. that is unless you want to be stuck with a shitty tattoo for the rest of your life.
 
You should probably get some barbed wire around your bicep. Because that will make you look badass.

And then the Superman logo covering your shoulder.

Because then you will look twice as badass.

And then you can learn how to spell the word tattoo!!
 
dont go down to your local artist and think thats the best you're gonna get.

look around for the quality work. don't settle for anything less.

if you have to ask for ideas for a tatto you shouldn't get one, none of us on ns know you as well as you do so don't settle for something you are unsure of being that you will have it for the rest of your life
