Gold bindings & $50,000 skis

I was on Facebook and this somehow came up in my news feed.

I gave it some research and the set up consists of 8000 year old bog oak and 14 karat gold bindings.

And the cost of the set up would be about $50,000. Lol I wonder what the durability is like.

What do you think about this?

49,500 profit is my guess. Ski materials aren't super expensive and it's just a veneer topsheet. Gold on the other hand no idea the cost.
