So, I'm headed to New Zealand for about 2 months this July/August and am trying to figure out where to get a pass. My main concern is that the mountain have a good park and in particular a well groomed 22' pipe. What are your suggestions?
Well, I'm going to NZ for park. I can really ski at Jackson in the US whenever. So is snowparks pipe better than Cardrona. Aslo, I realized the NZ Open is at snowpark.
If you just want to train pipe and park.. then snowpark no doubt. Cardies park was always nice when I was there.. but it seemed like the pipe wasnt open to the public very often. Plus they're right across the valley from each other. So if you wanted to change it up on a snow day, you could just get a day ticket.
Cardrona had always got a pretty sick park. snowpark will proberbly be the best option if you ONLY want to ski park. otherwise cardrona will be awesome.
By that time they both will have very good parks. They both cut good pipes. Cardrona's rails are not quite as good cuz the run is not as good for rails. If you want to ski anything but park Cardies makes a bit more sense. I always get a cardies pass even though I ski 90% park in NZ. Cardies is also more crowded.
