ok, so i will be going to school (moving from tahoe area) in either vancouver or kelowna, and i was hoping on some input for a few mountains to help my decision...

- mt seymour

- grouse mt

- big white

- silver star

(any other resorts near kelowna)

if you have ridden either of these mountains, can someone tell me how 1) the parks are 2) good powder days? 3) any steeps? (50 degree plus) and 4) the drive time on a snow day

lastly, what's the drive time to whistler from vancouver to whistler on a snow day?

thanks

if your going to UBC or somewhere in Vancouver check for Whistler student passes and buses from your school. I know UBC offers buses to and from Whistler leaving friday and returing sunday night and the UBC hostel costs like 17 bucks or something to stay in. I think the seasons passes are cheap through the university too. Kelowna is cool but bigwhite really has no steeps, its pretty mellow. The Telus park at bigwhite is sick, but still holds nothing on Whistler. I haven't been to Silver Star but it looks alot like bigwhite. I'd go to whistler. you got close mountains like grouse and seymour, trips to mount baker and whistler an hour and a half away.

big white is awesome man.. huge park with something for everybody and some pretty good steeps... i was there spring break for 5 days and we had 2 good pwder days and a freash fall everynight... i havent been to anyother of those resorts
