Going skiing in Utah, no idea where

Hey! I'm going to Salt Lake City to visit the U and want to ski. I'm from Boise, my local mtn bogus basin never has crowds and never has good snow. I'm not a park person and I dont like groomers... I just love the trees and pow and natural jumps and chutes etc. Standing an hour in line sounds like a nightmare, any tips on which of the million resorts I should hit? it'll be just one Friday. Thanks!

Honeslty, Snowbasin is going to probably be your best bet. The resorts near SLC are all crowded out now. Even Solitude has parking nightmares and there used to never even be lift lines there.

Snowbird is a great mountain for all that, just a very popular and well known one, will probably be crowded but with COVID every mountain feels this way.

Alta a bit overated imo, Snowbird is way more fire and has better skiable terrain. And Brighton on God is one of the most fun resorts I’ve been to

Thanks guys! I'll look at these! How long are these lift lines on a Friday? Longest I've waited was 10 minutes and I about lost my mind
