Going out west for the first time

So I am going to Jackson Hole in Wyoming for the first time and have never been out west. I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on Jackson Hole and also I ride Line Chronic Cryptonites and was wondering if I will need to rent out there to get a better powder ski?
 
Plan on bringing your own skis but stay up to date with the weather. Some airlines let you bring a ski bag and a boot bag for the price of 1. So just bring your skis anyway.

Oh well then bring your skis for sure, If Jackson gets a big dump, rent some pow skis.
