headin out to ft lewis next year, i know purgatorys close but thats about all i know, were is there to ski, how far are places and all that stuff, thanks! +k if ya help me out

I beleive your next closest resorts would be telluride maybe 1 1/2 hours and wolfe creek 1 1/2 hours.. durango is dope, u'll love it! just don't eat to many shroomss and becom a fukin hippytard.

ya i go here. we have been getting some massive dumps this year so its been pretty nice. purg is 30 mins away and isnt the greatest but its still fun. telluride is 2 hours and wolf creek is about 1.5 hours if the roads are clear.

Fort lewis is a great time. I graduated from there 2 years ago. Now I run an online ski shop for one of the local shops in town. Follow the advice of buying powder skis. It will be worth it. as for resorts and shredding here is the lowdown- Purgatory- 30 min away-Telluride- 2 hours (depending on weather)- Wolf Creek- 1 1/2 hours (depending on weather)-Silverton- 1 hour (also depending on weather)- Hesperus- (small local hill just west, some fun night shredding, nothing to get too excited about,but can be great) 20 min away- Chapman hill- (in town, comes down from campus into town, 1 rope tow. great times to be had here)Enjoy it
