Goggles sticky strap (+ k)

k, so u know on Oakley goggles how they have a gooey layer on the inside to prevent goggle gappage? Is there any do it yourself way to make this for my I/O strap? Because at the end of each run my friends say, "rockin it gaper style, i see", even though I fix my gap every time I get on the lift...... It gets really annoying.

Might be the helmet, because i switched to a giro g10 and i don't have a gap any more

well its a smith variant...... My sponsor is making me wear the variant and the I/O. otherwise I would have used my crowbars....

I would try getting some rubber cement and running a strip of it around the inside of your strap and letting it dry. I bet when it dry's it will be about the same as the oakley straps.

thats what my friends keep telling me, but it hurts the back of my head where the adjusters are...

i like the rubber cement idea though!

silicon glue, when it dries its the same thing as the 'sticky' part on straps

about 75% of the time i dont wear a hat under my helmet (Smith Variant Brim) and when i do its just a thin helmet liner. I like my goggles over personally, they just fit me better that way, and i can pull them up when i want.

Stretch the strap out and clamp it. Add a load of Shoe Goo and keep it stretched til it sets. Presto.
