Goggles on the Outside VS Goggles on the Inside

12 years ago I started rocking my goggles under my helmet and never went back.

It's funny to me how depending on the age/type of skier a person is they think you look like gaper with your goggles under your helmet

I don’t really see the point of having your googles on the inside of your helmet.I know that it looks cool but what if you want to take them off?

Yeah under. Fits more naturally on my face, no pulling up or tightness. Also keeps me from fucking with them at all.

Under. When I put them outside and around my helmet, they don’t wrap around my face as well and leave open air gaps because they aren’t contoured.

It does serve a purpose besides looking cool (and that’s subjective). Personally if I put them over my helmet they tend to sort of pull up on my face and if I take a landing deep enough sometimes they would flop up over the brim of my helmet. That, and days when I need goggles, I only take them off at the end of the day. Otherwise im wearing sunglasses.

I wore them over the helmet once in a while during covid because i found it helped with the fogging issues for some reason. But i was constantly adjusting them and when they're under it feels much more comfortable and warm. Plus I can take my helmet off to scratch my head without having to take the gogs off too if it's a bright day

What kinda goggles and helmet are y'all rocking that goggles don't fit and have gaps when over the helmet?

I've never had that issue but I guess if I did I would certainly wear under the helmet. Could be different face shapes and goggle/helmet design issues.

Different question: those of you who have it under the helmet, when you wreck or land super hard, have you ever had your goggles drop down lower on your face? Or would this be more prone to over the helmet?

Yeah they sometimes venture down to the neck area but id rather have that then losing my goggles in the powder after tomahawking

when it’s snowing but warm enough to melt, my goggles fog if I don’t wear them over my helmet

Unpopular opinion... over.

I was a goggles-under guy for about 15 years. I've recently converted to over, and I don't think I'll ever go back.

inside looks better, but creates the bad gap between helmet, also gives me headache sometimes if the goggle strap is like that idek

outside looks dumb and isnt core
