im going to mt hood and i need goggles that will protect my eyes from burns or whatever
my question is:what lens can i get for the summer that is complete mirrored? any goggle suggestions of this type?does fire iridium work well in summer?

grey polarized is the darkest lens oakley makes, plus get mate black cbars and tht lens and you'll look like darth vader!

If you're going Oakley, then any polarized lens will work great. For less monies fire, gold, and black iridium all work well too.

yea fire is more versatile than people think, I use a clear lense for nights/flat light and use fire for everything else

gray polarized, fire, or black iridbring a hi-yellow though, some days hood gets seriously socked in and if you end up skiing that day you really want the good lens

Ehhhh. Fire is very good for sunny days, and that's about as much as I would use it for. It works very well for our nice sunny spring days over here in California. I ski a lot of powder too, and I would never use a fire unless there were no clouds and it was totally bluebird. Gold or black iridium should be good though, it will protect you from the sun, while it is more versatile than fire. Blue iridium should work too. I think you could get away with blue iridium, and it will be most versatile of those all.

well depending on your budget i would go with spy soldiers with silver mirror lens, i have them with a baby blueish frame and absolutely love them, great in all conditions (and not as pricey as getting a new fire iridium lens)
