Goddamn Line Bindings

^dude a switch butter is a backwards twisting motion, witch during a fall would rip your ACL in half. which is what the line binding is meant to prevent

well just to throw my $.02 in, the ideas and concepts behind the bindings are great, and a much needed advance in binding technology, however they have had some problems, that they can and cannot control, and it has made for a rough entry into the market. However, they do stand behind their stuff and seem to have replaced everything as needed (keeping their word on warranty).

However, how many people actually watched the video that (at least was) is on their website testing the binding. The ammount of pressure needed to release the heal where the force is close to the boot is lower than standard (an 8 DIN would release like a 5 DIN with twisting forces near the boot as oposed to near the tail). Some people might misinterpret this easier release as a pre-release when the binding is actually functioning properly (its easier to release as oppsed to other manufacturers that would require substantially more twisting forces to release with the twisting forces near the boot - they actually broke some of the testing setup with this test using other bindings).

The way I look at it, are they heading in the right direction, yes. Do they need more work, yes. However, this is something totally new (in terms of current accepted technology) and will need some time to work out all the bugs.

life is too short to have any regrets

I skied on my 10 times and had no problems...then this weekend the one toe piece would not lock down (i think it stripped)..well Line Replaced them no problem...the thing that sucks is I was skiing some Atomics with Atomic bindings and they released in the middle of a carve and the ski came from behind me and cut the side of my leg down through the muscle... now I am out for 4 weeks...I wish I would of been skiing on my Lines
