God save the robots!!!!

yay! this movie was awsome!

its put together in such a cool way, the editing is like crazy as poop, its so entertaning to watch. the skiing was pretty good, obviously not as good as in a pbp movie or something, there was alot of crazy urban rails and some really bad falls, and alot of sweet bc stuff, alot of switch landings in pow too. the intro with the guns and shit was the best intro ive ever seen easily!! the only thing i didnt like is that it was short, but whateva

you would have to be a huge faggot to not buy this movie, its 11 dollars and its released like a month before every other movie, id pay 11 dollars just for the badass shirt that comes with it.

dude..tbc's intro is soooooo much better..along with war, shanghai 6, bogart, and many other videos. it looked like a music video made in the 80s.

yeah tbc sh6 and all those intro's were better made, but they also have wayyyy more money, equipment, and camera's. i think god save the robots definatly had the best idea and it was the most badass/funny.

and i liked how the movie was so different, the way it was put together, edited and filmed was all original. i dont know if i liked the filming too much, but it was way different than any other movie. and it had a really "fun" feel to it. where sh6 tbc and all those are more serious.

i guess it all depends on your opinion though, if your willing to watch something different, this movie is awsome.

thats the only switch 10 in the movie i think, there really arent many big spins at all, even though that one was very stylie. and there isnt much park either, there is a ton of bc kickers, and alot of switch landings and stuff.

I'd have to agree with the intro thing. By FAR and away the best intro of any ski movie I've seen. When I watch trailers.. ususally it has some words like "the most amazing season ever" da da da... and then a bunch of artsy shots of snow and mountians.... SOO played. Cool to watch. But its the same with every movie. GSR is original. The layout, the editing, the music. I liked it all... and I was laughing like the whole movie.. in a good way. Jordan did a bang up job.

Plus it comes with a free shirt. For like $12! There shouldn't be any complaining here.

i watched and didnt like it... the skiing was pretty good but it had terrible music and i hate how it didnt have segs and oh yeah it was soooooooooooooooooooooo short

dude the music was fucking awsome, the song that went with the workout stuff was so cool. plus the captain planet song for the mike brodabent(sp?) section was so rad

dude it had the monster mash song while it showed people hucking dumb shit of a small bc jump and eating shit..the movie was not good bottom line.

The skiing was good, I liked the "feel" of the movie, it's all about just going out and having fun with your skiing. The worst thing is how short it was. I couldn't believe that it's only 15min.!!!!

15, unless there was something wrong with my DVD player and it only played 15 min. From intro to credits....15

I 100% agree. The hype for this movie was rediculous for what it really is. Don't let the trailer fool you. Giving people intro's when they have 1 shot or a couple comp shots in the whole movie is hilarious.

Heres a review i posted on another website:

Alright, I bought this movie because i really needed to see a ski movie, and didn't want to wait until the others came out. Also, a free T-shirt with a 12$ movie is a pretty good deal.

However, after watching this movie a couple times, I've decided that this movie is a disgrace. It reminds me of all of the not so great tele movies i've seen. The movie has a few backcountry jumps, all of them small and repetitive. The urban rails in the movie are not particularly impressive, and most of them are not really stomped at all, and have arial sized jumps onto them. Way too much claimage on rails that people didn't even finish legitimately. (cough, jon hartman, cough) Sadly, the park parts are the best parts of the movie, and even these are not amazing. Some decent follow cams, but nothing new, and really shaky filming. The tricks are really not all that impressive, and mostly on medium to small size jumps. The editing was just straightup terrible. No transition between segments or songs, and nothing really impressed me during the movie, with the possible exception of the workout segment. It felt like a really shitty remake of the eleventh hour (sick movie), except it didn't work because the skiers were shittier, the jumps were miniscule, and the rails sucked. On another note, almost every jump shot in the movie was too zoomed in on the skiers with really shaky handling, making it painful to watch. I guess my real problem with this movie is that they charged money for something that feels like it was put together in maybe 5 days of filming and a half-assed day of editing.

I do have to admit the shirt is dope, and i'll wear it.

ya know, it is an AM movie, so I'll let little things like editing and things like that slide by because they don't have the budget that the big boys have. But a 15 min. ski movie!?!?! I've seen trailers that are almost as long. I basically paid $12 for the shirt I guess....

good one dude i bet you are terrible at skiing...i was just emphasizing the fact that the movie really is only 15 minutes and you have to freak out

cool movie creative ideas definetley very short tho. i think its just a different style of movie. for instance level one would never put a shot of a person hitting a rail that was not greased. in GSTR Jordan puts in shots from everything even if the rail was not greased. it just chronicles everything these colorado jibbers did this year.

i dont prefer that style of movie but its def interesting and worth a watch or two

i have to say that after watching it the only shots that are worthy are adams, matts, and ians. for the most part everyone elses is not worthy especially jons probably the wackest skier i have ever seen, but to each his own.

A couple problems with this. The reason level one etc would never put in a shot of someone not greasing a rail, is because they realize that that's bullshit, and since they are professionals, they'll take the time and effort to finish the rails and stomp their shit. In god save the robots, they were too lazy/shitty to gather enough legit footage to make a full movie. And if it really shows everything they did this year, then it looks like they only went skiing like 10 times.

I don't really feel like i got ripped off, since the shirt is pretty dope, but I take offense at Static films selling this as a movie. They should've taken a good look at their final product, and then sold it as a T-shirt for twelve dollars plus a bonus movie.

Budget has nothing to do with editing really. I garuntee they have final cut and after effects so basically are using the same stuff as any other company out there. And as someone said above, watch Wicked. It shows exactly what can be done with a small budget.

true budget doesnt have much to do with editing but it has everything to do with filming which directly effects your edit/movie quality and how ppl look at it
