anybody read this book yet? Hitchenson, the author, is on Hardball right now and so far he's made 50% good points and is reasonably rational in his views and 50% idiot by responding to crowd questions with "that is jibberish to me, I don't know what that means."
 
im not saying im religious

but the news and such makes some of those religions look terrible and what not

i cant prove my point
 
christmas USED to be religious. now all it is is a day for people to spend time with their family and get presents

I'm the most unreligious person ever, and I celebrate christmas. I dont give a two shits about god or whoever but I just celebrate it out of fun! ♥
 
thats not even remotley true how christmas isnt religious, its celebrating jesus's friggen birthday, how is it not religious, you people are idiots, just cus u celebrate it and dont go to church doesnt mean its not religious
 
While I dont see eye to eye about the religious significance of Christmas, eg the whole Jesus thing, I still enjoy it as a holiday. I think whats most important is the feelings and bonds the holiday creates. Whether you get those via the religious significance or not, I think thats what the holiday is really about.
 
its not even jesus' real birthday! christians just picked that day to jack it from the pagans. so now the athiests want to celebrate on the day that was stolen from another group to begin with, and ohmygod, big surprise, the christians are pissed off about it. what the fuck?
 
To me, the Christian religion is imperialism. Think about itt God, who is supposed to be about total equality and freedom, states you can't be gay. He also says Christians are the purist/best human beings. Some fanatics even intepret he thinks whites are the best. To me, that is very imperial, telling people the best life to live, and saying being human is not a good thing (in case of being gay). Overall, not very free and equal at all.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I am not religious myself, but I listen to what the worlds religious leaders have to say. This is what I'm hearing them saying.
