Indeed. Though not Englad per say, as that is a corporation. Rockefeller had the largest stake in Polyester clothing. They virtually owned all the oils wells in their heyday. Polyester is bad for your skin, acrylic is even worse.

Some places have bioplastic (idk? plastic like material made of plants) straws and those are way better than paper straws. Nothing's worse than the feel of a paper straw after about 10 mins of drinking.
