Snowing in WA now finally. Windy as hell and cold but were making snow.

We really need a bunch of heavy wet stuff for a base. Tahoe is always pretty good about that. Hopefully you get enough to get open.

Was just chattin to the friends on snowmaking at Northstar about how the east coast and midwest are looking better than anywhere else. Friggin mt snow posted this

Like out here we can't get the temps to drop and people there lrolly going ro be wearing summer attire in the park at 25 "because its such a warm day".

One of the midwest spots was 11 degrees and cranking. Blew whales. And we're out here just out of snowmaking range.

Not today mother nature!!!! Let's winterize this mfer!

Yeah i was talking to the homies last night. A couple are coming up to crystal on sat and going their sunday. I should be able to get down there Sunday.

Also funny how actually posting on your park page engages people. I saw their insta post and immediately was like fuck it im in!

Depends how much I work sat night. If anyone wants to carpool from here im pretty much 100%

I bet it'll be sick!

Just curious how you found out bout summits hike park? Not seeing on their site. I’ll be at crystal sat too to get the boots cozy again
 
Im pretty stoked on this storm. Its been raining so much in november, it was depressing. We been living with 15cm pow on nukeproof base for a while now.

Depends on the wet bulb and what guns you have but shpuld be able to make snow at 24. That said if you have way colder noghts and days even sometimes better to maximise it.

Not sure how temps have been there jist seen lots of snowmaking whales.

We'd be blasting at 24 for sure though but we've been lacking temps. Its low 20s all day today which has been good.

But yeah there are a lot of factors. What kinds of guns/if you have air, humidity, how windy(if you can land it proper), if you have other days that are better for it, even what kind of water you have. Sometimes squeeky clean municipal water some places lacks the particulate to help it nucleate.

I have no idea what theyre up to their maybe they just wanna enjoy a sunny park day. Not sure how much snow they have made, need to make, temps theyve got coming.

West coast is desperate. If it's 70 and raining but somebody has a good feeling we might fire up and pray(this is joke)

24F should be in snowmaking range, but at high humidity it would be less than ideal. They could just be choosing to blow snow at more optimal times.

14-27F is the range of wet bulb temperatures good for snow making, but ideal is more like 20F, so 24 is a little towards the upper end of the range. The regular temperature is called dry bulb, web bulb is basically and indicator of humidity and will always be lower or equal. The number means the lowest temperature possible with evaporative cooling. Evaporative cooling can no longer take place at 100% humidity. So you could blow snow even at 42F if the humidity was 10%, or a wet bulb of 20F, since there's a lot of evaporative cooling that can take place.
