What is the difference between recording in 720p as opposed to 1080p? i mean can you really tell a difference in quality? and also would a class 6 memory card work in it?

there is barely a quality difference but their is some, and the main advantage of shooting 720p with a gopro is the ability to also use 60fps, which enables you to use smooth slow motion in your edits.

I havent filmed much in 1080p as I think it has a narrower field of view, less of the fisheye effect. I film almost exclusively in 720p 60fps as it appears less shaky. TBH though Im pretty dissapointed with performance in low low light ie night time, lots of grain. Skiing though its great even on cloudy days, just blip into the trees.....

There are some problems with alot of cards you need at least class 6 but not all are compatible. check
