Go Pro problem

go buy an external one that plugs into a usb drive. tats all i can think of or try a different camble to plug the gopro into the computer

Ok sorry bump but I don't want to make another go pro thread but I was just wondering when the go pro is connected to the computer and the screen says "USB" this means it's charging right? Sorry I'm terrible with technology

GoPro is really picky with cables. I use my other camera to read cards instead. One good option if you don't want to get a card reader and don't have another camera is to get the best quality SHORTEST USB cable you can find. USB degrades really fast, so the shorter the cable, the better the signal. This is why a lot of external hard drives come with 8" USB cords, not multiple foot ones. If a shorter cable doesn't work, get a card reader.

The GoPro is charging if the red light is on. When the light turns off the charge is complete.

Try emailing GoPro if you guys have any other issues, they have the fastest and best support I have ever dealt with. Yet another reason they're so sick!

Since you ski Glen Eden (I'm a pro...file stalker) you probably live near Toronto. Get yourself to Henry's on Church street and they can hook you up. They'll also let you test things out before you buy.

im in the same boat. my go pro wont isnt recognized by a pc or a mac, and nothing comes on the screen when i plug it in. i cant even get a red light ! anybody had this happen before ?

im having a problem with mine too.. wheni press the button to turn it on it beeps and blinks as if is turning on but nothing shows up on the lcd screen i have only had it for a year.. help?

ahh, had that problem...
brought it back
getting a new one tomorrow hopefully.

ive kept the mounts and wires for the last 2 go pros ive had. i have so many mounts :D

When the little red light is on it means its charging. When USB pops up it should be connected to your computer.

when you plug it in and it doesnt register hold the front power button for a couple seconds. it should work

When you plug it in to a computer it does not automatically pop up like most things do. You have to go to My Computer and find it in there.

If you've already tried that, get a card reader. They are $20 at most, probably cheaper online.
