Go Pro HD Help???

Hey Guys,

I just bought a go pro hd 1080p and i have some good film that i need to be editted but i cant upload any of my videos from the go pro into movie maker? how and what do all of you guys use to edit your videos ( if you don't have a Mac) thanks
 
movie maker doesn't support mp4 files which is what the gopro writes. torrent some video editing software, look on youtube for tutorials. i have powerdirector 9, and it's perfect to just make little edits of me and my friends and shit. easy to use, but still makes quality shit and has lots of features. if you're not some big time filmer/editor, you don't need adobe after affect or sony vegas, plus they will be super confusing at first.
 
are there any free downloads for a good quality editting software, or do i have to buy one. also which software is the best and has the ability to take 1080p??
 
take this to the media and arts section of the forum. people in there can give you a lot better answers than most people in here
