Go pro edits

go pros are awsome. even the beginners ones (must be still freestyle) were filming, its cool to see when they fall like waterdrops..

if you dont like it, dont watch it?

myself i dont have one, but if it makes you have fun, its okay?

it's the easiest way to film yourself and others while skiing; you don't even need to bring a backpack if you want to make a decent edit of a days skiing...
The GoPro is simply an enabler; it enables everyone to make edits of themselves and their friends; wether it's a good edit completely depends on who films/edits with the camera...
there are people filming with 3000$ cameras that bring out edits that i simply skip through within the first 30seconds and there are GoPro edits like the USC skiteam edits by NS member Abek that i enjoy watching, even more than once....
so to all people crying in here: if you don't like em; don't watch emand if you are crying because now everyone can make good edits and you feel sacked with your 3000$ camera, go film good stuff, it's not the camera that determines how an edit turns out, it's who operates it ....

I'm fucking sick of people making edits with video cameras. What the hell happened to a good radio broadcast?

this community blows me away sometimes. how the hell do you hate on a fucking camera because it 'promotes lazy filming'

how about you let people film how they want to film. just because it's generally cheap and easy to use doesn't mean someone can't put their passion and drive for skiing into an edit made with a gopro. stop hating on your own god damn community because it's bringing our sport down.

I agree, if i see one more go pro shot of someone thats too far away, ill kill myself.

GoPros are great because anybody can film themselves. You don't have to bribe a buddy to film you for a day when they'd rather be skiing themselves.

Besides helmet cam footage of someone skiing deep pow gets me super duper excited.

sure sure sure......

I'm just saying the majority of the edits are lazily done and not that interesting. Sure there are exceptions, but in general, most go pro park edits that I've seen are almost interchangeable. Non professional filmmakers can express themselves just fine without them. Remember when 95% of NS got go pros for Christmas? It brought the video section downhill for a few months until it leveled off.

go watch the J$ pow edit and then say go pro edits suck. im stoked to film with one this year. i never get a chance to film and its a really easy way to get footage

straight air blunts with cam in hand a prime... other than that, you are fully correct scottEC
