Gnarliest Skies still going strong

Was just realizing how beat up and sketchy my skies are the other night, now im wondering if anyone's else rides their equipment to absolute death like I do, I'm sure their are and Id love to see those gnarly ass old skies. The winner with the most beat up skies they still ride gets to stop feeling so bad about spending 600$ on two pieces of wood and get themselves a new toy.

Cause lol if I had the fucking money to buy a new pair you think id still be riding these things? Look at that shit, you may notice both have pieces of edge ripped off, exposing the core, not to mention I dont think there's like any sidewall left that isnt hacked to bits. You may also notice I shouldn't really be using them, as their are no brakes anymore. Also their fucking 2010 models.

On a positive note I've gotten really good at not eating shit, I thought id find them speared through a kids chest last time one popped off. I don't even know why I do it, my family's pretty well off and happy to support me in something Iove, moms already tried to buy me a new pair, idk but it'll be interesting to see who else does it. Even my skateboard decks always last atleast a whole season and my trucks and bearing are seriously like 8 years old now. Anyway, lets see em!

that's nothing. I still occasionally ski this pair that broke and I replaced the core with a block of wood.

Oh Jesus yeah now that's some serious jerry-riggin right there. I feel like when I have to do some shit like that I'll probably retire them then. What kinda conditions do you save those for??

By all means ride those skis until they disintegrate but PLEASE spend 35 bucks and get some new brakes.

I haven't taken them to the hill yet. Just in my backyard on pvc and such. It would be interesting to see how they handle on groomers though. I imagine shit.

Yes fair enough, I got some money saved up now Im definitely fixing that, I do apologize that is just unsafe. I'm saving up for pivots on whenever I get new skies for sure, last time at a ski shop the one guy totally sold me on them, made sense too since the brakes are usually what I explode right away.

Oh god do it though, and get the camera rolling. Remember that clip awhile ago where the dude straight up snapped the one ski in half on a rail or a landing, because it was already basically cracked in half? I imagine something similar to that happening.
