Glidecam problems

I have a glidecam XR-2000, with a canon t2i, a rode video mic, and newly purchased sigma 10-20mm. While walking around, its perfectly balanced, but once i start going a little fast while skiing, the whole rig just flies around. Maybe it`s becuase of the mic catching all the wind? I do have alot of practice with my glidecam, just its hard to get smooth shots while skiing fast.

Its almost for sure the wind, I have the same issue here in Duluth, MN where its windy as hell. I know with the Glidecam HD series (what I have) you can extend the weight arms out so that they are further away from the stem. You may have to tweak your balance again a little bit, but with the arms extended it stops side to side motion of the camera from happening as easily. If its tilting of the camera thats the issue I'm honestly not sure of a great way to fix it. I have just become used to holding the stem of the glidecam a little more firmly with my guide fingers to counteract the wind dragging the camera

Add a couple more weights to each end (camera plate and bottom) and then give it a little more grip when you're skiing. I find myself gripping pretty hard when I'm crusin a jump line, no other way around it.
