Glen Plake survives avalanche CNN interview

Read about this in the local paper. Was amazed. It's crazy. So stoked to see plake okay.

Dude is a fucking legend.

i still have a poster of him on my wall tht i got from a ski shop when i was 6 the guy is a legend
 
wow what strength to be able to do that interview. I hope hes alright, and glad one of my first ski heros is still with us
 
Greg Hill, the man that ski toured 2 million vertical feet in 2010 also survived the avalanche, and was apparently the first to contact Plake. He was staying at the camp below Plake's. Plake's fellow group mates have been declared dead.

Yes it's great that some of the legends of the sport have survived this tragedy, but I think it's important to remember that 9 lives have been lost. RIP and SIP.

 
Hate to see this shit happen, Glen is the man. And CNN did a great job in picking this story up.

I could only imagine those thoughts while being tumbled just knowing its probably the end, all the chemicals that rush in your brain...so fucked
 
he seems like such an amazing person but honestly I haven't been around long enough or been into skiing long enough to really know who he actually is
 
Glen is a family friend. They were in europe, and they were shooting a little film there. He said that he was reading his bible when the avalanche happened.
