Glen eden opening day friday?

they've been making snow hardcore, they'll probably be open

Hopefully the rain and the warm temps won't impact anything and GE can open on Friday. I will be coming up on Saturday if it's open.
 
I was there on the weekend to pick up my passes. The hill has snow on it and it looked good. They're obviously going to focus on the ski school and the learning center first.
 
quite frankly glen eden fucking blows. they spent 50 grand or whatever last year and the park consisted rails that were sticky, with mediocre jumps
i had more fun at dag opening day this past weekend than glen mid-season last year....hopefully they step their shit up this year.
 
well said my friend...... i asked a guy last year who worked at the terrain park where the 50 grand went.., all he said was no fucking clue
 
do you or that guy know how much northern rails cost? around 7 grand a piece

they got about 9 new rails x 7000 = 49,000

all those rails are handbuilt with the highest quality materials and certified by professional engineers, shit ain't cheap
 
give or take, something like a flatbar will probably only be around 3, while something like the whale tail box i think was around ten since there's so much coping, all the laminate has to be warped the right way, and the whole box has to be welded from metal scaffolding. All of these are handmade too, keep in mind its not like a car production plant where everything is automated, every piece is done by hand

and frankly who cares what it cost? it didn't come out of my pocket, and those rails are awesome
