Giving blood

would if I could bro, but I got 3 transfusions in January and have to wait 12 months before I can donate again

I gave blood and found out I have O negative blood. Supposedly it's a universal blood type where anyone can receive it. Jokes on me though because I can only receive mine, and it's somewhat rare.

Nobody gives a shit. Go walk around with your "I gave blood" sticker on your chest and try to get some high fives or something. After all, all you want is the attention, right?

kind of sucks that there are no apheresis machines in Bozeman, i get a call from the red cross every week or so asking if i will be back home.

I gave about a gallon. Last time I gave they fucked up my vein, said I had bad vein. Blood flow was slow because they fucked up my vein and needle wasn't even in right. When the saline or whatever got pumped back in it filled up a inch + tall pocket in my arm. They got me off the machine. People didn't have any useful information. The guy said "it should" go down in a day or two. The people were clueless sketchy and I'm never letting them touch me with needles.

I gave hopefully more than I'll ever need and enough to help some other people. Red cross still calls me sometimes, and I explain to them they aren't touching me with any needles. They should get their shit together and hire better people.

Oh well, my blood is my own now.

TLDR

One time I went to give blood but they said I couldn't cause they were mad jealous I went on a trip to the Dominican in the past 12 months right? So I nicked one of the pins they give you, and it turns out they put numbers on em to show how much you've give, I took a 10 one. Its on my sun visor, getting me mad selfless points and distracting people from the fact that the pin is attached to a piece of shit cavalier. Just thought id share. Here's a video of someone fishing for Asian carp with bows.

They use a lot of volunteers.

Any good EMT/Nurse/Phleb Tech knows when a vein is blown. Bad patient monitoring.
