Ha I'm all about people learning good hip hop. Mos Def is easily my favorite rapper of all time and Dead Prez's Hip Hop has one of the most recognizable beats, and so on, and so one.
This thread wasn't about finding good music. The OP clearly said that he wanted mainstream pop artists for his little sister. And people decided to post every artist that they could think of for people to think they have good taste in music. Obviously I called their bullshit.
There are hundreds of other threads talking about how amazing artists like POS and Talib are. This is not one of them. The artists I posted is what this thread should have been but people are so wrapped up in trying to get others acceptance that most failed to realize they look like fucking retards when they post completely irrelevant artists.
I'm not a douche bag. Just someone who thinks it's absolutely stupid to go around posting random fucking artists in any thread they please. It would be like someone asking for good electronic music and I tell them to look at Biggie, Tupac, Nas, or Big L. While the artists mentioned are great, they have no business in an electronic music thread.
