Give me your thoughts

Currently riding some Kartel 96’s. Love em. Not great at park and want to focus up a bit on it. (Got some wider kartels for the fluff) My thoughts are to get a dedicated corduroy killer and detune the kartels or to get a lighter more dedicated park ski and keep the kartels sharp for groomer days. Pretty burly guy so the weight of the kartels isn’t *too* much but curious to try a lighter snappier ski in the park. What route would you take?

Park skis are no heavier than all mountain skis. Slimming down the ski is a way to go, take 10cm off your normal ski.

Go carbon fiber if you want light. Wont be as durable so if ya got 1000$ to burn…

For sure, if I were to get a park ski it would be around 86-90. Royales and alparkas are around 150 grams lighter that my kartels. Just curious if people would keep the kartel for park and get a speeder or keep kartels for fun groomer play days and get a dedicated park ski

just ride the kartels in the park. if youre focusing on basics and flow then the weight won't really matter and doesnt matter too much for anyone anyway
