Giro Ledge Vs Smith Maze

Really struggling whether to go with the Smith Maze or Giro Ledge. Also not sure what goggles work best with either. Finally going for a clean park look and really wanna see what’s better from personal opinions about comfort, protection, looks, etc. Been doing a lot of research about both but wanna let NS make the decision for me. Thanks!

Honestly, try them both on and see what fits your head better. As a third option, I might suggest the Giro Emerge. Same silhouette as the Ledge but with MIPS Spherical.

Thanks my man. I’ve been looking at the Emerge and it seems like it’s just a pricier version of the ledge for some reason? You know of any huge differences? And I can get MIPs for both

The way the MIPS is implemented in the Emerge is different, and, i.m.o, way better. It's two completely separate layers of foam, with the plastic slip layer between them. I find the Emerge way more comfortable than the Ledge when worn with a toque and goggles underneath.

I had the maze and I didn’t like it. It’s so tiny. It looked really odd on my head with my goggles. I have a smith Holt now and I like it. Smith code looks like a good one too.

I've got a giro ledge. Its pretty good. Especially with mips. It makes me feel safe, protected and loved. Hope that helps.

+1 for the Giro Ledge.

I wear my gogg straps and beanie under the helmet, and Ledge allows me to do so with that little strap thing in the back without any other fancy bells or whistles while at a very reasonable price.

While the Maze had that same strap feature but just didn't quite fit my head as well.
