Giro Helmets

from what i can see on their website, they stopped making the combyn and only make the emerge. so yes, they’re basically the same, maybe a few safety or technology changes

I always liked the look of the Combyn (emerge) more than the ledge but idk if one is technically better than the other. Both mips from what I herd

so i checked a lot to and what im pretty sure is that you can take the ear pads of the emerge but not the combyn. if i was you i would defenitly go with either a emerge or giro quarter (bmx/skate) helmet

i know you can get the ledge not MIPS for like 20 bucks less but except the look i dont think there is a difference either
 
I've used both and really like both. The Emerge isn't exactly like the Combyn (not quite as flexible / comfy, though with a better liner), but those are really minor differences. That said, the Ledge MIPS is definitely a better deal and lighter. If you could get them at a similar price, I'd probably opt for the Emerge cause I find it a bit more comfortable than the Ledge and, in theory, it should protect your head from smaller impacts for longer due to the dual-density foam.

I took the pads out of my combyn extremely easily
