I don't know if there has been a thread on this already but when a big company says they want to progress the sport look at the development of womans specific twin. look at how many bigger companys have female twin tips compared to the "core" companys armada has barley been around and they have a female twin salomon doesn't and freakin sarah burke skied for them!

yea...i agree...i donno if there is a big difference between what a girl and guy ski is...but like me im a girl...and im 5ft and about 100 lbs...and unless u are tall u cant pick the ski u want...all the pro modles are over 170....i ski on 153s right now...and i love the...they are lines...but they should have more options for the short people in the world!!

 
^ i have a pair of the line womens ski, and the problem for me is they are actually to short for me, they are 172s and i usually ride stuff like 179s. most ski companies who make girls skis like armada the skis are too short.

i dont mind skiing GUY'S skis. up til the 'womens movement' it was just Everybody's Skis.

creating the new market kinda goes both ways. thats cool if they're really tailoring them to meet different needs and making them more appealing so girls will buy them. i wouldnt call it a 'need' for a change but its fun.

speaking of the womens skis though, i have a RANT...

liberties = ridiculously hideous

celebrities = totally over the top, looks like the motif on a huffy trike at wal mart. maybe its just me, but i do not like the look. they forgot the tinsel streamers?

i love my celebs, i have motherships too, and they are the same demensions but the celebs are soo light and soft, they are so much fun just to cruise around w/. that one kids right tho, call up jason hes cool as shit and loves to hear from the customer

I posted something to that effect not too long ago in another thread. Salomon is showing that they cant change quickly enough with the eb and flow of skiing. However, K2 does have the missdemeanor this year, so that shows that someone is paying attention.

What would the advantage of buying a girls ski be? Apart from graphics? For example the K2 Misdemeanor?

 
After summer test sessions in 04, our girls decided on a core they liked that is a bit softer than the original Public Enemys.
