every time i go on social media nowadays all i see are dumb girls sharing dumb buzzfeed or elite daily articles about stupid shit. everything is all about perceived injustices or some dumb broad getting mad because a guy looked at her ass. recently i saW some article about an "instagram model" who recently "quit social media." this bitch got paid $2000 to put a pic on insta and she was acting like she had been victimized by society or some shit. of course, every girl that shared this called her brave, or a hero, or some other bullshit. my question is: are girls nowadays actually that retarded that they really care about this inane garbage? or have girls always been this stupid? are there any girls out there that don't care about the dumb shit most girls care about? god damn i am gona end up lonely af, fuck girls man you're all a bunch of idiots.
 
Did you even read the article about the girl quitting social media? It was about how nothing she photographed was real, it was all staged in a super unhealthy way to encourage others to participate in the same unhealthy practices. It was about how she was perpetuating that cycle and wanted to get out of it so was 'exposing' what she was doing.

They dont actually care. Its just the "cool" thing to do right now. Theyll completely forget about this instaskank in a couple days

it bothered me to a point. In the article, shes bitching how she "won the genetic lottery with a sexy body and tiny frame" and how she got paid thousands of dollars to take pictures of herself wearing expensive clothes that she didnt have to pay for. And how there are tens of thousands of girls wanting to be her and even more guys wanting to be with her.

The way I read it, she was bitching about being attractive and making money off it. How many girls out there would kill to be in her shoes?

She "wants to get out" of the business. But yet she wont post a single untouched picture of herself without makeup or trying to appear attractive.

Sure, she was addicted to looking perfect in her pictures. But not a single person was forcing her to do this. She took the pictures under her own will and got paid money for them.

That article really bothered me and I feel she needs to stop bitching about having what everyone wants
 
I follow skiers on instagram and I like buzzfeed lists because they're hilarious and piss off people who take the internet seriously.

But to answer your question, no. Not all girls care about it and most wouldn't take those kinds of things seriously. You just see it because it starts trending on facebook and any(all) of your friends who posts about it will come up on your feed. It's not nearly as many people as you think. FB just condenses that shit so you see a ton of it at once.
 
I've got guy friends that share stupid spirit science posts religiously along with buzzfeed type stuff and click bait.

Probably lumping all girls into this category isn't the best way to get a girl... but, this has been a problem for as long as human interaction has been recorded- people in general are regarded as stupid, regardless of gender. The majority of guys do stupid shit, majority of girls do stupid shit and the ones who pay attention to the world around them and use their brains are the minority.

This is summed up from a pre-Socratic philosopher named Heraclitus, around 500 BCE- "the general run of people are as unaware of their actions while awake as they are of what they do while asleep." It was fitting back then, and it's pretty fitting now.

I disagree. She wasn't saying I'm so lucky to be able to do this, she was saying, this is not reality, I'm making you believe it is. Which in turn gets young impressionable people to do the same unhealthy narcissistic things. She didn't just post a picture of herself in a bathing suit. She has her sister or whatever take a hundred pictures, yells at her that they're wrong, didn't eat the day before.. etc. A whole bunch of unhealthy shit which perpetuates these unrealistic figures onto young naive people. She's essentially saying, she was part of the problem and now that shes intelligent enough to see the big picture does not want to be a part of it. Seems legit to me. She's not still posting these pictures, she's just changed the caption to be realistic.

I didn't get the sense she was a whiney girl but standing up for a cause she genuinely believed in.

I nearly three my computer out the window in a fit of rage. There are hundreds of people dead after a possible terrorist attack in Egypt, and Facebook decides to publish this story.

I've always loved Essena Oneill. I understand what she's trying to do, but she is literally using social media to promote her "deleting" social media accounts. Although she may not post on instagram anymore and has deleted her tumblr, she just created a whole new website and vimeo to talk about her "movement". The only way people are going to delete their social media is if they personally have a bad experience with it, not if some instagram star is telling them to. The edited captions on her photos really don't surprise me, because I am not stupid enough to think that is reality. People CHOOSE what to post on their social platforms, and no one wants to post about their worst moments in life. Profiles are what you make them. I think she just wants people to NOT make assumptions about her life based off of what she posts on the internet. Logic.

I know a bunch of really chill girls who act totally different on social media and shit. They do it to impress other people is what ive always thought. My twin sister is really chill and cool at home but as soon as she gets out into a public event with friends everything changes

For the most part every article out there is target towards a specific group of people. Elite Daily, Buzzfeed, ect. are reaching their targets, and will continue to post for as long as they have an audience. As far as sharing articles goes, it's a way of interaction. I see just as many annoying guys posting screenshots from tumblr, or reddit things in my timeline as girls do. It's not nice to lump 50% of the planet into one category.
 
Ok yeah this is super generalized and stuff but I feel. There will always be the "basic bitches". These are the girls that are afraid to think on their own and be themselves, which can get really fucking annoying. Keep in mind though that only a certain type of girl can over come society's norms and be different. The few that do break away from the pack are often criticized for not being "ladylike" or feminine enough. Another reason girls are like this is because they think guys find being basic attractive. I'm actually kinda stoked on this post because it proves how much girls do that doesnt appeal to guys, its actually repulses them.

Oh and don't forget about the bad bitches that dont give a fuck, also known as the hoes of ns. We're the shit.
