aight so my gf is getting into skiing and is looking to get some shit this year. now im not too familiar with the womens line of skis, so y'all need to let me know what you think would be best. she def a beginner now, but a natural and will pick it up quick, so shes gonna need a good pair of skis. nothing too stiff thats gonna kick her ass at first, something soft enough ya know. shes 5'4'' 100 pounds so shes very small. anyway ya help me out guys!

Line Motherships.Moment Sierra maybe? Idk on the flex of it, but ive heard that its a pretty decent ski for all around skiing.

take her up on real shitty day and make sure she has a bad enough time that she never want's to go again. Now get back to shredding with your homeboys. Problem solved!

yea thanks guys. keep ideas coming. btw jus cuz shes gettin into skiing doesnt mean shes gonna be skiing with me. couple times but theres no way im givin up skiing wit the home boys and she knows that

^^ yeah, beware of getting whipped, just sayin, i seen't it happen to buddies before. it's a sad day when he's sacrificing a steeps run to cruise a green with her.....
on another note, this is totally how i got into skiing, so sick!i got some armada arvw's and they were the perfect ski for me to build confidence, progress, etc. i go for something burlier now, but i would def recommend them. :)

allow me to clarify. IM NOT BUYING THE SKIS. just giving her ideas. celebrities/motherships and moment sierra too fat underfoot yo

Just get her any price point park ski. They'll be cheap and soft which is all that she'll care about. Like the cheapest line or salomon or something.

But really, if you have a solid crew of guys you rip with right now you are about to ruin that for yourself unless this girl has amazing patience and is somewhat coordinated/competent.

get her some roxy's. theyre a good ski a branch of solomon i believe and they are very forgiving perfect for beginners. plus she will think they are "pretty"

hahah

You say that now. But let me share a story with you. I once knew a lad ( also a NS'er) whose love for skiing burned deep. He get's himself a Girlfriend who decides she wants to ski. He also said something very similar to that to our group. You know the " I'll only take a few runs with her and then shred with you fella's" or something along those lines. Well he LIED! Before I knew everytime he went shredding she was right there. It was a sad sight.

You're entering quicksand my friend.

hahahaha
she'll love you forever if you teach her how to do it right, plus gives you a chance to show offyou'll be getting all kinds of 'tang after that

I know plenty of "good women skiers" and they are cool to ski with sometimes. When one of those "good women skiers" becomes someones gf on the other hand, we got ourselves a whole new set of issues. BTW I've been married for five years now (together for 8) and I ski with my wife about twice a year. That my friend is the key to a solid relationship. I don't need someone starting their period while I'm trying to build a kicker.

my girlfriend has some older shadows that we got cheap for her to play in the park with as shes just learning.

she dusnt like them very much though, she tested the Chronic Ky

rptos last year and fell in love with them

i dont think the mothership is a womens ski, but then again girls are not required to ride a womens model, get her a ski that fits her body type, price range, and ability. dont focus on marketing.

Dont let her see you laughing at her.But get her Volkl Women's Gem All Mountain Freestyle Skis '11 arent to expensive.

hah. you think that she isn't going to ski with you.
might as well throw away hot lapping, days more than 3 hours, and be prepared to spend a lot of money.
you're fucked.

I basically did this, my girlfriend wanted to go skiing with me so I took her in the spring when the snow was super slushy and heavy. She couldn't make it down without falling so she eventually got wet, and hated it. She never wants to go again. Except I didn't do it on purpose, she just told me in the spring but I could care less.

My brother taught his gf how to snowboard and guess what. She started coming every time the crew would try to head up. Fucking ridiculous.

Eventually she gave it up... and so did my brother. He claims he can't afford a pass but he sure as fuck can afford a bunch of other stupid bullshit with her and for her. Sad days, it is a slippery slope to a dark demise.

make sure you get her some decent skis to atually learn how to ski on, not some lamo park skis that will give her nothing
