Girl fell off lift

Today, I was looking in the window at my friend who dislocated his shoulder in ski patrol, and a ton of people rushed through at once. I asked what the commotion was. A woman slipped off the lift because the leaned forward to raise her tips after putting her bar up about 15 feet from the top and missed the safety net by like 2 feet. Apparently she fell about 30-40 feet onto rocks with no helmet. When I saw her, she was out cold and wrapped up mummy style on a stretcher.
Morals of story:
Wear a helmet.Wipe the snow out from under you when its snowing.Get scared shitless and put the bad down before you leave the ground like I do...

i did that once, fell 25 feet into an inch of pow. it hurt like hell but the worst i got was a few brushed ribs and the wind nocked out of me. + vibes for this women thought

It always sucks to hear about stuff like this. Similar thing happened to my grandpa. He had a seizure going up the lift and fell 40 feet and broke his back. Hope she will be ok

the other day at my local hill an pregnant employee was downloading to run the lift and fell off

fortunately everyone was OK

At blue, the pa one, some little ikd fel off the lift. It wasn't too far and he landed into snow, so he was able to walk away.

+ vibes, rocks do not sound good.

yeah there's a local hill around me where at the top of this one lift, right when everyone lifts the bar, the lift like bucks. if you lift the bar then and sit forward you fall so easily, someone falls like every year

as far as i've heard, yes but they'll know for sure in 2/3 months

hopefully everything works out for this other lady too

i don't think many kids fall off the lift at my mountain, but we don't have the safety nets like some other mountains, but hearing all these stories makes me think that we probably should

last year when i was at key stone, some one fell of the lift almost at the top of the mountain, they closed part of the mountain and landed a helicopter on the side of the mountain. it happened right bellow that big lodge at the top of the mtn, but i dont know any names

kid fell like 40 feet (not exaggerating) at our club

i was a few chairs back and saw it

my mom was on the run snowboarding and was the first person to come up to him

im pretty sure he was almost completely ok, he was really young though

last year at skisundown in CT i watched the 10 year old kid the chair in front of me fall 20-25ish feet into the Mini terrain park, where a contest was going on. another kid his age was on the lift with him(who is an Amazing skier for being 10) looked away for that second and looked back and his friend was gone... it would be Freaky to be him

damn dude thats fucked. ive fallen off lifts and seen it happen to other people (including my old boss, karmas a bitch you demonic oompa loompa) but nothing that bad or that high up...

Nobody uses them in Washington, but when I go up to whistler, euro tourists always seem to hit me in the head or thigh when they lower the bar without warning. I could see this being a legitimate problem.

But vibes that sucks. Scary stuff

they are very annoying although sometimes relaxing for your feet i say.
so its like if i put it down its cool because i do it and im expecting it, but not when other people do it.

also i live in michigan so its like hey....the ground is 15-25ft away.....are you sure this is necessary? plus our lifts take like 13 seconds to bring you up our 83ft tall hills ya know. you aren't even in danger long.
i guess whattya gonna do? gotta please them gapers with safety and shit.
