Girl Disappointment Story

Solution: Say you want to learn to snowboard so you can keep up with her, but you don't want to pay for rentals. Then convince her to swap gear for a day, then say you liked it enough, you want to just gear swap every time. BOOM. Now she skis.

Yeah and if shes good, you'd be waiting less time than if she was a bad skier.
