Gimbal or Power pole for gopro?

I have a gopro hero 4 black. I was planning on buying the funnygo 3axis gimbal, and while the tests do look cool, I have some concerns. First is about mounting a mic and a filter. From what I have seen, it will take the weigh fine, but it may decrease battery life. Wind is said to decrease battery life also. Between this, the price, and how the handheld ones can limit you (limited axis control, no joystick), I'm thinking it may not be the best option.

The other day I heard about the power pole from polarpro. Seems like a cool idea. I was thinking about running this battery into the battery bacpac, freeing up the USB on the gopro for a mic adapter. I have used poles for a while, and while they aren't quite gimbal' smooth, the benefit of ease of use, low cost, and simplicity are looking pretty tempting. Anyone have any suggestions?

The battery pole looks dope.

In general those are both insanely overprices items. Id just buy a couple extra batteries and make your own pole.

ya you could technically just tape an external battery onto a ski pole and it'd work the same?

Didn't seem too bad to me. Battery life can be as low as 1 hour with the 4, the pole is rated for up to 10, but costs the same as about 6 batteries. Still is a lot, but I like the convenience.

I think for mow I will get the battery bacpac, a mic, and possibly a filter and see how far that gets me. I can keep using my ski pole with the mount for now, but then if I really need the extra time I will go for the pole. I like that it is all together, so I can charge it and be all set instead of having tons of batteries.
