i dont know if any of you have heard about the new park at june mountain. june is 15 min north of mammoth, and is owned by mammoth. you can ski at june with a mammoth ticket or pass, or you can buy a june ticket thats only about 35$. this year they are dedicating 1/3 of the acreedge to terrain features - that means one run serviced by a high speed quad that is over 2 miles long and will have 160+ hits on it. that is in addition too a fairly large terrain park that is already there. should be sick once it gets goin.

Hahaha. You East coasters must be so pissed off. That park alone is going to be bigger than any mountain on the East coast.

that's sweet. . no more hit a few jumps, ride a slow lift back up. Now if we only had that terrain where i am. .

 
I ski hood meadows, and I like it because some much time is dedicated to making each hit smooth. they have like 3 guys just working the parks and pipes.

 
that just pisses me off, i have to live in south dakota that has 2 tiny ass tabels. that would be so much fun to ride, just jump after jump

 
I jump like on two jumps at my hill + a douzen of little kicker where you cannot do more then 540 and 360 grab + the lip where I tried switch front just by riding onto the lip ( no jump, just the lip)

 
geez, if there was a slopestyle comp there, it would take 30 min for every run if you used the whole thing!

if u live in the midwest and all other shit places u can make some cool gaps and other jumps and shit at the mountain if u take the time, last year at cascade a snowboarder friend and i gapped over one of those snow tnnel things they make for the little kids it was like a spiral then u went thru a tunnel we transitioned diaganoly across and over the whole thing, it was decent like 45ish ft and scary as hell cuz they had those mesh gates for the spiraly part before u go into the tunnel, my friend ate shit on it once to, we were landing on a piece of snow on the back of the table it totally collapsed when he landed on it

haha, so many people are gonna hurt themselves on those hits. they should def. rate their jumps like tremblant (diamond, double diamond, etc.) because that would help people like me who hurt themselve on jumps because i don't know its a gap jump and break my arm on easter. ahhhhh. i misses a full day of skiing at jay peak! im a idiot.

oh and by the way, that park is gonna be nuthin to temptor's 'terrain features' at sundown. that park was sick last year! am i right will?

I have some relatives in San Diego, so next time i visit i think i'll push for a trip up to Mammoth and June. The only problem is that i'm the only one in my family who really likes to ski, which sucks. All you near June or mammoth you do'nt know how lucky you are . . .

 
what are you talking about - 6 hour drive to ski is stupid? Try hitting Tuckermans - 11 hour drive in the middle of the night....get 4 hours of sleep, get up before the sun, another 3 hour drive, than a 3 hour hike up a mountain just to hike for turns (than another 4 hour drive in the middle of the night to ski - and get kicked off of - one run at Killington than drive another 4 hours, get little sleep again than drive another 11 hours home........

a 6 hour drive is nothing. That's closer than Tremblant from here and I do that drive a few times a year.

You guys are all outta luck. See in Connecticut, we have a gimungous air jump, and we get to hike it all day whenever its good. HA 160 jumps and a high speed quad?
