Ghost of Keystone

i lived out in summit county all last season, skiing at keystone 6 days a week. the park has serious talent, and im sure everyone could name drop dudes that hit key, but there was this one guy who the entire season stood out. it might be because he wore the same grey sweatshirt with black X graphic, black face mask, black pants. or maybe it was cause most of the time it seemed he was riding alone, lapping the big line and throwing huge supermans. i watch a lot of edits and have wanted to find out who this ghost was. anyone that was out there know who im talking about?

no. a.) milbocker lives in michigan, and only visits colorado on occasion. b.) hornebeck wouldnt "superman the big line", and wears jiberish or armada when he wears hoodys (no grey for either). c.) both rarely lap by themselves. d.) he would have found an edit of them if he has been searching.

haha the funniest part about this response is that jiberish did make a gray sweatshirt with a black X graphic last year.

hmmm. definatly someone i recognize. too far away to tell who it is completely though.

possibly delorme, although he usually rocks just saga.

YES! thats him.

no matter what conversation i was having with my friends on the a51 lift, when we saw the Ghost start out on the big line we would shut up.

the faceless lone Ghost.

wait wait wait so hornbeck is the ghost? and btw wow hornbeck commented on this thread what a honor!

no no. some dude named kelly armintrout. the guy was a Ghost, a legend among few, would ride solo for weeks on end from what seemed like 9am-4pm straight no lunch. never noticed him filming really. a Ghost Wolf without a pack. would mess up a trick and u could hear him yell at himself from the lift. guy had the passion to just be out there killing it for himself. i was inspired.

yea he was great. he would be solo and it was like he was training. for hours he would do the same run over and over and u could here him scream like "FUCK!!" when he didnt do it the way he wanted. OCD or something. i remember for awhile a51 had this giant spine thing and all day, all alone he was trying to backflip on and rodeo 5 off. he was landing it almost every time but i guess it wasnt good enough or something. people like that make me feel okay busting my face on stuff trying to learn. lookin steezy doin tricks is awesome but pushin yourself and gettin bruised is what makes me tip my cap IMO

i clicked thinking there would be talk of a scary ghost that shakes your chairlift or yells at you when your doing tricks or something. you wasted my time

its funny theres a snowboarder who wares a full carhart suit and a bandana who just hucks backflips on the jumplines at mount snow i caught a glimpse of him one day and he kinda looked like the main character in american pie

He was at various points I believe. Dude was straight gnarly though, anytime he showed up at a comp, everyone was scurred haha. He had a few shots with level 1 a few years back, but he's probably the best park skier that never really made it.

if it is KDay, you should be scared, he drinks a 24 pack to himself mumbling about dubs all night, then wakes up at the crack of noon and actually puts them to his feet. oh it could be spencer, hes in colorado until monday actually, i know this because hes sleeping on my couch...

Yeah because all skiing's about is being sponsored...

Not doing it for fun or the love or passion of the sport.

Shiiiiiiiii.
