So we want to go on a trip this summer but we don't know where... (yes nacho has a girlfriends now relax ur butts people) So we live in MA and probably want to get out of new england.. We could go out west, we could go hiking, we could go to a city, really doesn't matter. Just tell me your favorite places, where you live and why we should come or why we should stay the hell out. GIVE ME SOME INSPIRATION because nacho has a girlfriend now. Sorry gin

Have anything specific you want to do? It's a big country. Maybe do a national parks tour?

Hawaii is really fun but expensive. LA and the rest of southern cali is pretty cool to. I love NYC but that's on the east coast so idk if you would be up for that.

We're up for whatever. We just want to explore and see some cool things so nothing specifically.

If you have time-

If you want to see stuff and willing to do a road trip, I would take I-90 all the way to the west coast, slowly make your way south and then take 40 back east. That covers a big chunk of the country and would be cheaper than flying $1000 or so with a 20mpg average.

If time is short-

Bozeman mt, Bend or for hiking

If you can find some decent seat sales, I'd head off to Iceland. I got round trip flights for $500cdn and then found an Air BnB place for 30/night. Granted, I'm going at the end of sept, so high season is over, but I'm beyond stoked.

I still reckon Chicago is the coolest city in America.

i live in the burbs of chicago, yeah the city is cool and all, but theres much better shit to see elsewhere than a fucking metal bean and a starbucks on every corner.

that being said, if you do happen to wander into the city of chicago...

in the summer time, the boat tours off of Michigan Ave. that deal with architecture are always full of some pretty neat facts and give you a different look of the city. also, if you enjoy shopping at expensive designer stores and also like to get fucked by a ridiculous sales tax, Chicago has that too. The air and water show is coming up soon, and that is always pretty fun. and yes, there are beaches if you are unfamiliar with geography and don't know this fine city sits on one of the great lakes. and trust me, it gets hot as all fucking hell here, just a heads up. Navy Pier is also a fun place to visit.

The city is always a treat to go to in the winter as well, ice skating in Millennium park is fun and just walking around and taking in the sights of holiday decorations along Michigan ave and State street is cool as well. The Building formerly owned by Marshall Fields puts up a nice set of holiday displays, as well as the massive tree in Daley Plaza.

visiting the Sears (Willis) and John Hancock towers is a pretty common yet cool attraction as well.

not to mention we have some pretty cool museums here,

The Field Museum is SUPER COOL, they are geared towards more biology/earth sciences but also have a great deal of cool artifacts from humans as well. I was lucky enough to tour the entire facility and got to go into the basement and they have a great deal of stuff not on display to the public and man was that an experience.

The Museum of Science and Industry is a lot of engineering and industrial sciences but also have some earth science/human biology portions as well if i recall correctly. They have a ton of neat things there, definitely a place i would recommend visiting.

The Art Institute is also another great museum, its no Louvre but its pretty damn close. They have some really cool pieces of art in all different forms from many different artists. Many of the artists featured are very well known and its another neat place.

We also have the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium, both really cool places but i'd be lying if i said i've been to either recently enough to share my experiences.

our sports teams are also half decent, the hawks are the fucking 2016 Golden State Warriors of hockey every goddamn year and it is awesome, the cubs don't suck and the sox are on and off in terms of suckage. the bulls are a half decent first round of playoffs team consistently every year, but my beloved bears just aren't up to par just yet, im sure Jay Cutler will get things turned around eventually.

aaaaannnnddddd there is a restaurant called 'BadHappy' or something like that that specializes in poutine. owners were pretty chill if i recall correctly. we also have 1000s of other world class restaurants too.

aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnddddd goose island makes a special beer only available in chicago if

you're into that.

i love the city and if you do ever wander into chicago you can definitely keep busy.

sorry if something doesn't make sense, i'm tired right now.

pardon the triple post but it appeared shortly after i sent the second post.

Go to Canada their currency is shitty and your money might go further. Montreal, QC or somewhere up the coast.

Or go south get past New Jersey and all those beach towns are bomb.

What's your budget? How do you plan to travel? Do you have passports?

Ideas:

Tahoe is incredible if you want hiking. If you're driving stayin Reno. It's much cheaper.

I love Montana. (Obviously) It isn't crowded.

Colorado is slammed this time of year.

Chicago is awesome.

Yeah man you need to tell ppl this stuff. Also how long do you wanna go for?

If it's just a weekend, you'd be crazy not to go to Montreal or Quebec City from New England. Our currency is still depressed so everything will be cheap. Both cities are beautiful, great food, and since its French speaking you'll feel like you're actually in another culture.

For a week, whoever suggested Iceland hit the nail on the head. Sure you could drive or fly out west, but for the same price you could fly to one of the coolest places on earth. I've been out west plenty of times but Iceland blows the west away in terms of experience. And again they have a fairly depressed currency so it's not even very expensive once you get there.

Go to Nepal! It's an awesome place to go. Super cheap besides the plane ticket. I was there for a month 2 years ago.

this. Plane tickets are crazy but the cost of living over there is insanely cheap. Look into places like Thailand and Indonesia as well. The plane is expensive but staying there is cheap so it could be affordable for you guys

Just went to Toronto and it was pretty sweet. Saw Niagara Falls. No hiking really, but Im sure it exists nearby.

Another option, head out to Sedona in Arizona. Beautiful place, fun hikes.
