whats the deal with it, how do you get sponsered
do you send in tapes?
or do gotta just know the right people
not to sound gay or anything just curious
help me out
 
make an ill tape 1:30-2 minutes long, write them a letter saying who you are where your from where you plan to take your skiing blah blah blah (keep this letter UNDER a page) usually using their product helps you out too, get good results in a few comps and that might leave you spancerized.
 
A long and painful process of winning comps, making vids they are edited very good and a bunch of going around and trying to get to know industry types
 
"Getting sponsered" takes knowing how to spell your goal first: sponsOred..

Just a word of advice, not trying to be mean. :)
 
if you have decent skills a lot of company's will sponsor you! you have to have a decent video (pictures dont hurt either) a good page write up about you what you do who you are and competition results..most of the time from my own experience, companies will hook you up! they may not give you free gear but they will get you great prices..last season i got in touch with the atomic rep from my area and i got the newest urban punx last season for 100 bucks. Cant complain about that. I just talked to another ski company and they offer below pro form deals on their skis. In your write up, make it sound like they need to sponsor you to spread their name
 
I don't know if this will work but send a vid to people with orange user names. This means they are in the industry so try You may piss them off or you may get good with them
 
make a vid that's like a minute to minute 30 seconds long with all bangers to leave there pants soaking wet just wanting more
 
I suggest you watch 'Gleeming the cube' and just copy everything the main star does this is a sure fire way to get hooked up

but for real, you're in this for the wrong reasons. if its meant to happen then somebody will contact you.

Thats because if you have been on the site for a while these threads come up way too often.

Btw. my words of wisdom are:

If you are asking an internet community how to get sponsored then you probably aren't ready to get sponsored.
 
A great promo can only get you as far as your networking skills. Id say knowing how to approach a potential sponsor is almost as important as your skill level.
 
a good video and knowing the right people(reps shop people) and having people know who you are.
 
im guessing you make a promo. send that in with a resume with your competition results, future goals, and tell them a little about yourself
