Getting inverted

Hey guys, my goals for this season are to land backflips, frontflips off knuckle, and corked 3s or 5s. I love hitting jumps up to 40 ft with most grabs, but still have yet to try to send a 360 on a larger jump. I have a lot of experience being inverted in the air, used all kinds of diving boards and trampolines in the past, I remember throwing mistys off the diving board when I was like 7 thinking I was inventing a new kind of frontflip haha. Problem is I have yet to try any inverted trick on skis.

So yeah, I hear people talk about progression all the time and I don't want to rush anything but I really think I can go for these tricks now, but I want your opinion. I hear that the cork 3 or 5 feels a lot more natural than just doing it flat.

Also there are no trampoline parks or anything like that near me so don't suggest that, I don't want to wait another season.

Step 1) go fast

step 2) go off jump

step 3) go upside down

congratulations, you are now inverted. Come back next week and I’ll teach you how to un-invert so you can land on your feet

flips or corks before a normal 3 is a pretty wild approach haha but on the other hand, honestly backflips are kind of just as easy and natural as 3s once you know them so it's not an *insane* idea

however flips do feel quite different on skis than on a diving board. it feels more like a gainer with ankle weights on BUT the jump gives you the flip easily unlike on a gainer where you have to work for it

skiing is weird, you should def do whatever trick you can completely visualize yourself doing. if you decide on the flip, remember, POP, and it's all in the hips

i say wait for a soft snow/pow day though, it's safer plus the room for error loosens you up and lets you actually commit to what you're doing. either do it or don't, the worst thing you can do on a flip is go halfway haha

Idk who you heard that from but cork 3s and 5s absolutely do not feel more natural than a regular 3. Cork 3s/5s are harder than cork 7s.

If you don't un-invert you gotta move to Australia
