Getting into park skiing?

Searchbarred, didn't see anything. Most likely a repost. Anyways, I'm interested in learning how to ski park (I mostly just hit up the glades), and I was wondering if you guys had any tips? I'm sort of afraid that if I just go for it im going to end up hurting myself and ruining the rest of my ski season. Thanks!

Look around the forum. Hit up the Trick Tip cult forum. There's plenty of good info for beginners on here. Your question is way to generic to generate a response -- "tips for park skiing?"

Get twin tips. Learn to straight air jumps. Grow some balls and be prepare to fall, you will fall a lot.

Always try stuff that you know you can do. In other words, when people tell you to always try stuff, that doesn't mean go disaster a down-flat-down. It means you should hit the flat rail and box as often as you can. Work on spinning/grinding rails with both sides. AND have fun! The feeling you get when you land a new trick makes the rest of that day great.

In all seriousness though, don't start too hard too fast. You'll generally have a good idea of what feels "comfortable" for you in the park. Try not to stray too far out of your comfort zone at first. As you get better you'll notice your upper bound of risk tolerance is starting to increase. The worst thing you can do is push yourself too hard and get hurt.

Oh and when I say this, I am talking about spinning left and right off jumps/lips and leading with your left and right foot on rails.
