Getting hated for Vishnu’s

This season I bought Vishnu’s Bc ppl said they were fun buttery sticks and they were right very fun ski. I would not call myself a good park skier by any means. My best trick is maybe a back 2. But recently ppl have been hating on me cuz I ride v’s but suck at park. Normally stuff like this doesn’t bother me but i have been starting to wonder if they are right? Should I ignore them and keep doing my thing or should I rock different skis til I’m better
 
Don't worry about what other people think. If they're working for you and you like them then don't switch em up. If you're finding it hard to progress then maybe consider switching ig, but as long as you're not doing it cuz of what some dumbass thinks then ok.

Oh yea they definitely work for me. I’ve progressed more this season than any other

Fuck those assholes. Rock your Vishnus and have fun skiing. Those are the kind of park dickheads that you always wish you could talk them into some sketchy back bowl stuff and watch them piss themselves on the top of a cliff band.

This makes no sense to me. You’re made fun of for using one of the more affordable pairs of skis on the market? I’d think it would make more sense if you had mags or something cause they are expensive. All in all they are just jealous my dude

Smh man. Everyone knows that if you own on3p you have to swerve every second while you ski and if you don’t you’re a poser. You even have to swerve while getting on and off the lift.
 
If you’re a positive and friendly homie (sounds like you are) then people have no reason to hate. I only get annoyed when kids are on “the best gear” when they’re dickheads and act like the shit when they’re really not lol.
 
How the fuck are you supposed to learn park if having twintips before you're good makes you a "poser"?

Vishnus are literally cheap skis too, it's not like you're balling out on a top quality setup when you can't even front 2.

I'm glad I've never had to deal with people actively hating on me in the terrain park or skatepark for what I ride. Smh

Gdam this hit home. Used to get ripped on for wearing second tier cleats but it was all I could afford at the time. Fuck those assholes
 
This shit makes my blood boil. This kind of BS plagued the street skate scene in the early 90's to the point that kids would stop skating.

tf are you talking about? a deck is a deck, wheels are wheels, you literally couldn't get anything significantly much more expansive than anything else in a skateboard setup in the 90's and even now

They were skating, fuckhead. Anyone that had any kind of new skate or skate clothes that sucked was called a poser. They just sucked at skating. And if they didn't quit, eventually maybe they didn't suck at skating. The term, and that gatekeeping attitude, is bullshit.

Yeah dude don’t even trip. I’m on new on3ps, new pivots, new fulltilts, and a new saga kit, and can talk about skiing culture all day long but I only learned how to do rails like a month ago. I’ve been doing moguls, trees, chutes, etc. my whole life but this whole park thing is still (relatively) new to me and I think joining NS was definitely part of what really got me into being a full time park rat.

So yeah, I kinda suck but have all the latest and greatest gear this season... so if that makes me a poser, so be it. Skiing is still a massive part of who I am, I’m progressing super fast, and I’m having fun doing it. It’s really hard for me to hate on anybody that’s just having fun doing what they love, whether it’s some jerry from Texas on rental skis, topher doing daffy butters, the bunch flailing their arms, whatever. As long as your having fun and continuing to pump money into this sport, that’s all that matters. It’s really hard for me to hate on someone just trying to enjoy themselves.

The funny thing is. Some of also ride Vishnu’s and aren’t much better than me. Maybe they think I’m “rUinInG ViShNu CuLtUrE” or smth idk

I also got my first pair of vishnus this year. No joke the first time I got into a lift line with them these kids behind me where trying to chip my top sheet and started to scuff them up with there skis. They where calling me a poser and dumb shit like that.

Just ski for yourself man, don't worry bout what anyone else says, go get your bag. Ive made more friends from people coming up to me to talk about my V's than any other way out in the parks. Ignore the douchebags, embrace the homies.

Seriously, what the fuck? Its not worth losing your pass to deck someone but that would bring me to the edge. The irony is fucking with someone's skis is the most Poser shit I can think of. REAL skiers bring stoke to the hill. Skiing is an ecosystem that is bigger than any single person, you either feed stoke into this ecosystem and build it or your act like a dickhead and tear it down. Shit, i make a point to ride up with little ski school kids just to get them so pumped and stoked on skiing by the time they get off the lift. I have been skiing and part of this culture since the beginning and it makes my blood boil when some little shithead tries to fuck over something you watched grow for literally decades.

I only ski at camelback cause it’s the closest to me but I’m down to ski

op i feel you. Im about the skill level of you or prob worse at park and I ski v's. Im not gonna tell you some inspiring story on how I got over it and blossomed. I still feel kinda wack skiing in the park with them cause I look like a poser. only tip I can say is ski with your homies, it makes you feel better in general. and if your homies are actually making fun of you, not just playing then they ain't your homies
 
OP all you gotta do is drop trou, do your finest switch pizza, and piss all over the features on your way through the park. Anyone talks shit you say THIS MY PARK NOW BITCH then bark at em like henrik and ride into the sunset
