Oh for sure. I hear all of the good skier photographers use Hasselblads. I would say look into a Hasselblad H3D series. They are pretty nice.

Canon 4d Mark ii takes 21 MP pictures and HD video. But that might be overload for a beginner. I would suggest a Canon Rebel if you are just getting into photography and don't want to spend alot of money. Or buy a used Canon 40D.

haha, that 4d took me off guard. NO WAI! 21MP and HD Video?! Dude, that seems ballin! Seriously, took into a Hasselblad. They are great for beginners.

Wait, wait.... Your telling me a DSLR has a Blu-ray burner and takes that HD video directly to Blu-ray?! Thats fucking brilliant! Cameras are turning into a home theater almost!

this has a tilting 12" hd lcd with built in dolby 5:1 surround as well as a red velvet collapsable chair that folds into the battery grip and a small asian who lives behind the sensor and makes you popcorn
it's the same asian who cleans the sensors on all of canon's sensor cleaning bodies so it's not that revolutionary

OHHHHHHHHHHH i always wondered how they cleaned the sensors, guess now i know. Do they have to shrink the asian or does he fit as is?

What the hell is all of this hasselblad talk? Medium format is for Noobz. You should go for a 4x5 camera, they usually condense down into about a breifcase size, so you can easily carry them while skiing.

Oddly enough, there isn't that significant of a weight difference between my 5D+24-70 and Graflex 4x5. The AF on the Graflex totally kills it though, so that's what I bring skiing.
