don't mean to be blunt but there are tons of "what camera should i buy" threads. search around on here and amazon/bh to get a feel of cameras and look at reviews. narrow it down to three or four cameras then come back for advice. btw almost any camera can shoot stills and action, they are the two types of most popular photography, but they will vary in quality depending on price/camera
