I sick of this rainy hot ass city...who wants to organize this...lets get this thing going the heat is pissing me off and i could really use a ski flick

Here are the essential details for throwing a good film premier:

1) pick a better movie - seriously, people come out to see well known films

2) promote the shit out of it (people wont come if they don't know)

3) sponsors - free shit makes people come

4) alcohol - the biggest problem is that most bars will not allow underage kids. unfortunately underage kids are the prime audience

5) venue (kinda the same as alcohol)

6) good luck!

i've run a couple film premiers in my time (some blew but some were awesome and went till 3am) mainly on the mtn bike side of things but i think it all applies regardless of the genre.

 
alright rob, way to be optimistic....hhaha no i was just trying to stir up some interest, i would be willing to "help" organize if interest is shown though
 
Just show the discovery channel logo a lot in the promo material and people will show up. Legit sponsors help the movies cred (who would go to a movie where you've never heard of any of the sponsors...)

 
fyi there is a rather large premier being put together at this very moment for Toronto!!

good times will be had by all...
