did i miss something? With the exception of bill gates, and some actors athletes and musicians, a lot of these rich ppl started off rich, they didnt work for shit, they just are lucky. In fact, those actors and musicians etc, dont deserve the amount of money they get. A basketball player gets a 90 million $ sponsorship, for playing a sport that he should 'love', while a single mom who has 2 jobs, is just trying to pay the rent.
not to mention, the only reason why those athletes, actors, and musicians are rich, is because they had a damn lucky break.
I think i'm going crazy...

I agree totally, athlets/actors should not be paid what they are. but, thats supply and demand more of less. If you want him on your team that bad, and thats the money it takes to do it. Then fine, do it, if you try to regulate that kind of thing, it will still be happening, just not legally. I disagree, i think that the president of our country should be an example. He should not be cheating on his wife. That set's a terrible example for the country

i gave the replies a cursory skim, and found nothing that i didnt expect to see... i did think lagwagon would come on and cry about it more than he did, so that was nice.... my take is this... george w is fricking smart as far as politicians are concerned. this is illustrated by his backing and passing of the prescription for elders bill that recently passed. this was the largest non war increae in government spending in 40 yrs. (democrat type action) do you think he really cares too much if old folks get free drugs? no, because that was his origanal prescription proposition. to send all paitents to the private sector to get their drugs, as any good conservitive would, but once he saw that the senate would never pass that, he stole a democrat proposition, to make the drugs for old folks a federal govmt program, and he claimed it as his idea. what will this do for him? how bout get marginal democrats and republicans to vote him right back into the white house in 04. he also knows that he can give up 'small defeats' like the prescription drugs to gain favor, and then really fight for bigger issues in the future (i.e.supreme court nominations) its all a game, and i think that george w is playing it as good as anyone ever has... i just hope and pray that the republicans can get someone that will have a chance to beat out hillary in 08, or we all gonna be a little bit poorer. you think tax refunds for non tax payers is bad, just you wait till she get in charge... its gonna be a regular socialist state... im moving to hong kong.

If you think Bush did a good job in office, you have some screws loose.
1. Thousands and Thousands of jobs have been loss.
2. The economy is horrible.
3. The air quality is lower, along with the fact he took away all the clean air regulations for big businesses.
4. He has made tax cuts to benefit the rich, and not help the poor.
5. He did a horrible job with Afghanastan. 3,000 civilians dead...no result. It only increased Anti-Americanism.
6. A pre-emptive, unujustified war with Iraq over 'weapons of mass destruction.' The whole world was against him, he did it anyways. Now, after the war, with Iraq's country ruined, muesums ruined, people starving, people angry about american occupation, we can't find the weapons of mass destruction(Which looking for those is not even a reason to go to war.) He lied about intellegence to bomb a country- he should go to the world court.
7. Before his presidency George Bush never travelled outside the country...giving him no understanding about the world.
8. He has made patriotism mean supporting everything your president says a.k.a making people against him seem like dirty hippis or stupid radical communists which is totally untrue.
9. He increased military spending by millions of dollors while taking it away from welfare and health care funds.
10. He hired John Ashkroft, a racist. He hired Dick Cheny, the owner of an oil company.
11. He has brainwashed our country after 9-11 saying we must continue with this nonexsisten 'War on Terrorism' that really only increased anti-americanism. 9-11 gave Bush the chance to do everything he wanted to do when he was president.

I dislike Bush on a great number of levels. The man is a brash, illinformed, unintelligent, moron. I'm down with Petek on this one.

Your like the post revionists, you simply criticized one view, while never providing an alternative. thats weak.
Bush has negated international relationships - tearing and weakening the UN even further. He has broken away from other countries, he is obviously a narrow minded man. He never took the time to sit down with his opponents and talk it out - nope instead he went as far as to call France a group of idiotic old world cheese eaters. So we have a culturally idiotic president who drives a selfish war machine.
This man is also the one who broke away from the Kyoto Protocol. This agreement was an internation one, it set standards and goals for pollution, yet this BU-mbling SH-muck, broke off of the agreement.
Corporate money from oil companies (basically backed his entire campaign) flows around in peculiar ways.
not to mention as Petek already said, under Bush our economy has gone waaaaay downhill. The war drama could be argued as a front for that...
I've listened to a great deal of his speeches as well. And this man has never layed out conclusive absolute information on why war is necessary. He basically used the State of the Union as a cheerleading festival.
I'm just not seeing any reason to like this man.
