Reading all these puns is giving me a good apatite to make a few gneiss rock jokes myself. However, I'm not going to take it for granite that they're that easy to cleave from my mind. Maybe with some practice mineral off the tongue quite easily. Too bad Mohs geology jokes are too obvious ore lame and it can be tuff to make a good one. Some even lose their marbles trying to think of them, but it's key to begin with a clean slate before you can start to chalk them up. You don't even need a geological orogen to strike up a conversation about rocks and slip a pun into the conversation. The key is to not thrust them in as you speak or it might turn out faulty and the person will have a jaded opinion of your sense of humour. Best to let them lead and dip them in when you can. If none of your jokes leave a scratch then sometimes it's best to just jet ore they might not talc to you again.
