Generators?

for lighting up handrails, youre going to need a few set of lights, 2-3 preferably, more if you can. To light these up, a pretty decent generator is needed. The best way to do this is to rent one for a few days from a construction equipment place. The last time i rented one, i think it was 30,000 watts, and was like $35 a day to rent.

man generator's are fucking expensive, like hundred's of dollar's expensive, so your better off renting one or just seshing the rail in the day light

Try and pick up a second hand one that still runs fairly smooth, because you're not going to comsume that much power with 2-4 construction lights. Or as suggested rent one from a tool rental place for a few days.

You could always try and get a shit load of extension cord and plug it into a near by building (my plans for my nightime sessions)

How did everyone come to the conclusion that he was using them to light up a hand rail? Maybe he needs one for his house. I really don't have any advice, but I just had to put that out there.

what you do is go to a hardware store and buy the huge spot light flash lights. they are like 30 or so. then get some mirrors and cardboard and make a funnel around it. it works well for a cheap set up
