Gay park skiers?

I'm gay and I ski park sometimes. Unfortunately, none of my gay friends can ski worth two shits. :( It does bring up the legitimate question of whether it's harder to find a girlfriend who can ski or a gay boyfriend, and so far I've skied with way more girls than gays.

Total respect to your post there, but don't you have a wife (as has been said before in this thread? And didn't you also have a big post about boobs?

Seriously though, I love the way you being honest! There are lots of gays, I see on the bars of the mountain but I never noticed them shredding nor skiing off the piste, I think, they're scared of being making fun at, or rejected. But honestly, I love to see them at mountains. Skiing / Snowboarding is for everyone, not necessarily you know bout it well, as long as you're enjoying it. Good luck to you, hope you can find friends that's same gender and same interest like you do.. : ) thumbs up!

It's cleargoggles ...again.

Now if I were to start a ski film production company, I'd call it The Pillow Squad. You'd be seen on the logo, or anyone else struggling with their sexual identity for that matter due to Xenoestrogens and testosterone-lowering EMF.

So it'd be all about riding gnarly pillow lines, or grinding long urban poles, in Shaun White zebra pants, switch, holding short poles, and bent over. That's after setting up a ski company, Janana... cos that's the future of skiing. Forget trying to set trends, ride them. It's all about going urban and going gay - and being different... together.

You're saying that being gay is done through chemicals and hormones. You're an idiot. You also know nothing about freeskiing. Get off NS

It helps. But you tell me, you're the one with two butt cheeks on your clothing label. I'm surprised you don't have Muslims come after you.

First off,It doesn't look like a butt. If it did, it would.

Secondly, Mecca is not an Islamic world and isn't associated with Islam completely. It's only association is the city of Mecca, and I'm using it in the sense of "the mecca of ___"

Thanks for showing my tees off!!!

You are a Joey

There was an interview with a pro skater recently where he talked about gay professional skaters. I forget how they got on the topic but he was saying how it is weird that there aren't any openly gay ones. There definitely has to be. And not just in skateboarding. Think of all the extreme sports athletes. I can't think of a single one who is openly gay. It's a bummer that people don't feel accepted enough by there communities to be open. Or maybe they just don't care to tell people.

I think it was the most recent Alex Olson interview. If not then it was the most recent interview with Marc Johnson. Both are very good interviews too.

Divesting into multiple brands.

Janana (skis and boards), The Pillow Squad (vids and edits), and now clothing:

It's all about going after current and future markets... and selling out, and breaking character. Either that, or continuing to alienate everyone around you.

Best part of the article:

"Finally, outspoken as ever, Steve Olson chimes in with: “If I were gay I’d be like, ‘Yo, I am flaming, hear me roar!’ I would love to see some out-of-control homosexual skateboarder come out, like some outrageously over-the-top drag queen who’s like, ‘I’m skating for Judy!’ And you’re like, ‘Give it, girl!’ And he’s like, ‘That’s right, bitches!’ and goes and does like a triple set.”

That was a good read, thanks for sharing!

This would be an epic situation.

That guy would be like hesher than hesh. How can you possibly not give a fuck more than being outright homosexual and bragging about fucking dudes in a homophobic action sports environment?

I'd pay to see this.

Yeah you're not the only gay park skier. Hell, one of the top park skiers is gay and I think only a handful of people know. When he comes out, your minds will be blown... or not because it's honestly not a big deal at all.

I'm assuming when more professional athletes come out that he will as well... if I was in his position, I wouldn't risk it either.

you don't congratulate someone on their sexual preference.. why do you nerdy mods delete comments? this sport used to be about raging, shredding, being obnoxious, offending people, making them laugh, acting immature.. now its.. oh don't say that you might hurt someones feelings. YOU ARE NERDS!

It's funny with all the Americans arguing that you shouldn't congratulate gay people, or that they shouldn't celebrate being gay, because it's just something you are. It's funny because you come from a country where people excessively congratulate each other and profusely flaunt the fact that they are Americans, even though being American is as little a choice as being gay is.

since skiiermans wizardry brought this thread back up, I figured I'd read through it again, and felt this post was pretty fucking solid.
