So my computer freezes when ever i plug something into the usb. just got a new ipod and am kinda pissed about it freezing everytime. any ideas how to fix this?
 
Maybe it wants to pitch instead of catch "USB plugs"

I mean, how would you feel if it tried to stick something in one of your holes?
 
try checking to see if there are new drivers available for your motherboard or usb controller. go to control panel then system and then device manager, find your motherboard or usb then to to their properties and go to the drivers tab and click check for updates.

the process might be slightly different to that but it should be pretty similar
 
thanks, this is ruining my birthday. My dad says i either have to figure it out or he's bringing it into circut city where they'll delete everything on my computer and reinstall the opporating system. i just don't wanna lose 2000 songs very much
 
also, if ya just got the ipod try doing a rollback to before you installed itunes / connected the ipod and then try it again.

if its always been freezing when you connect usb devices then don't bother trying that

if you are going to reinstall just back up all of your folders and music on disks and usb drives and shit

and if you are using vista get rid of a lot of other settings and tools you don't need
 
he can't use usb drives...

I'm assuming you already restarted your computer. I don't know what else to do.

If you can't get it working back up the stuff you need and reinstall Windows.

Don't take it to circuit city. Just reinstall the OS yourself. A quick google search will tell you how.
 
hahaha, wow...that was rediculous. I can't believe I said that...and he also said it was xp. Just completely disregard that post
